This project involves the refurbishing, implementing and adapting of a wing to the existing primary school for the start of a nursery school.
A refurbished wing with three classrooms, office and storage space, new toilets will be created and new furniture will be purchase.
The Dutch Foundation ‘KOS Oost Gelre’ is the sponsor and Foundation Buganala is the coordinator of this project.
Njaba Kunda is a Mandinka village on the North bank with a regional function. Children from surrounding villages come here to school. The facilities in the village are minimal.
The Ministry of Education in The Gambia supports this project. The nursery school is integrated into the school, the head of the school will also be head of the nursery school.
